Introduction to Birthing Basics
This component gives you a comprehensive overview of the physiology of natural birth. Each component of the training has its own assessment/review. We see these assessments as an extension of the learning process, so that we are sure that when you are certified, you feel confident, and can competently teach the program, philosophy and techniques.
If you don’t have prior training in Physiology of Birth (are not a midwife, doula, or ob, etc.), you will be required to complete this component.
All you need to know about Birthing Basics
- Birthing Basics is Segment 3 of the HBCE Certification and is for those who do not have professional experience and certification in Obstetrics, Midwifery, Doula Services and or L/D Nursing.
- Materials include: Birthing Basics Syllabus, Pregnancy and Birthing Text Book, and HB Birthing Basics Films
- This is a Work-at-Home Course including a Birthing Basics Review that is returned to HBI Faculty for Segment 3 credit.
